Golden Bay Detailing (“we,” “us”) is a mobile car detailing company based in San Francisco, California. This policy explains what information we collect when you use goldenbaydetailing.com, request a quote, call or text us, or book a service — and what we do with it.

When you request a quote or book a detail, we collect what you submit: your name, phone number, email address, vehicle year, make and model, the service address where we’ll work on the car, photos you choose to send us, and anything you write in a message field. When you call or text, we collect your phone number and the contents of the conversation.

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies from a small set of service providers to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising:

• Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads — site usage, conversion measurement, and remarketing (including click identifiers such as gclid and UTM parameters, which we store so we know which ad brought you in).
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API — conversion measurement and remarketing for our Facebook/Instagram ads.
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session replays and heatmaps that show us how visitors use pages so we can improve them.
• Elfsight — the widget that displays our live Google reviews.

These tools may set cookies or collect device identifiers, IP address, and pages viewed. We do not use this data to identify you personally; we use it to run the business.

• To send you an exact quote and answer your questions
• To schedule, confirm, and perform your detailing service
• To send service-related texts or emails (confirmations, reminders, follow-ups, review requests)
• To measure which marketing actually works and show relevant ads to people who visited our site
• To meet legal, tax, and insurance obligations

By submitting your phone number in a quote or booking form, or by texting us first, you agree to receive text messages from Golden Bay Detailing about your quote, appointment, and service follow-up. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

We do not sell your personal information, and we never share your phone number for anyone else’s marketing. We share information only with service providers who help us operate:

• Our booking and customer-management platform (scheduling, quotes, payments)
• The measurement and advertising providers listed above (Google, Meta, Microsoft)
• Professional advisers or authorities when the law requires it

Some advertising cookies are considered “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out — see the next section.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to ask us to correct it or delete it, to opt out of the sharing of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and to not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To opt out of advertising cookies specifically, you can also use your browser’s tracking controls or the opt-out tools provided by Google and Meta.

We keep customer records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet legal and tax obligations, then delete or anonymize them. Access to customer data is limited to the owner and the small team that needs it to do your job.

Our services and website are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
